Unfortunately for simple, well designed products, the tendency for the average user is to try and DIY it or look for a less expensive alternative. I&#8217;m not saying it&#8217;s right, just that people are going to do it when they aren&#8217;t professionals or aren&#8217;t worried about perceived professionalism. There is a term I have used for my peers who want to build their own homemade version of a light modifier, sound blimp, beauty dish etc.., it is called perceived professionalism.
