PhotoCine News signs screenplay development executive Amanda Sloane Murray

February 9, 2010 by Hollywood, News

redcarpetarrival.jpgEver pursuing our mandate to bring PhotoCine News readers a complete picture of micro movie production, we have been searching for a veteran Hollywood insider to be our entertainment industry correspondent. Amanda Sloane Murray is a noted script consultant and former script development executive from New Line Cinema. She has also worked with other well know production companies including ChickFlicks, Strike Entertainment and 1492 Pictures. Some of the films she’s worked on include The Last Mimzy, The Golden Compass, Hoot and Sex and the City.

The deal was made in true Hollywood fashion, at a dive bar in Studio City last week. Amanda brings with her extraordinary inside knowledge and experience of the development process of making films. I’ve been a huge fan of her writing because she knows how to communicate the complexity of the warrens Hollywood without losing the reader in morass of jargon.

Her ability to impart valuable input on screenplay development is brilliant. As Photocine rapidly evolves and empowers people to pursue making small films, Amanda’s insight to our readers is going to be paramount. Her script consulting site can be found here at Scriptbird.Com.

Michael, Tom and myself are thrilled to welcome Amanda to the PhotoCine News team.
