America’s New Hero is Darth Vader, I Mean Max Page
I watched the Superbowl at a crowded cigar smoked filled club yesterday. While the game and the ads were playing there was a constant din of side conversations punctuated by the occasional outburst brought on by a game play. The funny commercials brought a few chuckles and the ones with hot woman brought a few glances. But spot one had the entire room unified.

When the Darth Vader Volkswagen spot came on the television it had the attention of the entire room. There was a silence and then an uproar of laughter at the pay off of the commercial. We highlighted the spot here on PCN the day before the game as our favorite pre-released Superbowl ad, but we had no idea it would have such legs.
This morning on the Today Show the half pint Darth Vader from the Volkswagen commercial took off his mask. His name is Max Page, he’s six years old and he’s a hero. He’s also never seen Star Wars because it looks too scary.
Max Page comes from a television background. The Today Show reports that Max has been in front of the camera since he was in diapers and that he has a roll as Reed Hellstrom on the CBS soap opera “The Young and the Restless.”
The Today Show also reported that Max has a heart defect which requires to have a pacemaker. What an awesome kid.
