Why You Can’t Trust Your Eyes for Color Calibration
A friend of mine, Natasha Calzatti, who teaches Photoshop and a two day color calibration class at Samy’s Camera EDU, recently showed me this optical illusion and it blew me away. I would have bet money that the two squares were different. Forget Three-card Monte, I’m getting me some tiles and a nice cardboard box and setting up on a busy street corner.

Natasha demonstrated this illusion to me a few days ago then I came across this video. The girl in the video was not Natasha. I was just giving her credit for bringing me in the loop, not for creating the video. I don’t know who the girl in the video is but the guy who shot it specializes in shooting video of optical illusions and calls himself brasspup on Youtube and Facebook.
