Safari Has Become Such a Dog
Since upgrading to Safari 5.1 I feel like I’ve been walking in a nice looking pair of shoes that don’t fit right. They look great, but the more I walk in them the more the pain from the poor fit slows me down. Inevitably I have to toss them.
Apparently I’m not the only one feeling the disappointment. John Gruber from Daring Fireball, a man who loves Apple, but has the temerity to call a spade a spade, confirms that I’m not losing my mind and that Safari is in the midst of a misstep.
For the first time in years I’m back on Firefox. Rumor has it that Chrome is a nice, speedy browser as well.
UPDATE:Been using Chrome all day and it’s a nice browser. And from what I’ve gleaned after a cursory search, Chrome manages memory better than Firefox.
