Can Flash be saved.

One of my favorite technology commentators, Robert Scoble, has a brilliant piece on the future of Adobe Flash. Personally I love open platforms for delivering creative content to the web. Dependable ubiquity allows creators to be anxious about the quality of their content and not the deliverability.

The web is supposed to be democratized distribution in which anyone can have a shot at gaining an audience for their creative endeavors. Depending on a privately controlled de-facto standard like Flash, jeopardizes that freedom.
