Universal has ‘Tech News Today’ Episode Yanked – Illegally?

THE VERGE is reporting that Universal Media Group had an episode of Tech News Today pulled from YouTube. From what I can discern UMG may have blatantly abused the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. Tech News Today was well within the bounds fair use exception to copyright law.

No Copyright Intended

An interesting perspective about the use the phrase “no copyright infringement intended” on you tube by Andy Baio at Waxy.

These “no copyright infringement intended” messages are everywhere on YouTube, and about as effective as a drug dealer asking if you’re a cop. It’s like a little voodoo charm that people post on their videos to ward off evil spirits.
