Chase Jarvis Does it Again

January 30, 2010 by News

Hosting my own webcast this week and spending time getting files ready for the archive, I missed the opportunity to join a Chase Jarvis live shoot broadcast. Chase really pushes the envelope when it comes to new media. Hopefully, the archive will be up soon for all of us who missed it to see.

I noticed from the comments that some people had a hard time viewing. Anyone who tuned into my webcast can attest that this technology is still in it’s infancy. It looks like Chase is using Ustream which is one of the companies I am considering for future Createasphere DSLR webcasts. If anybody reading this has webcasting/live streaming experiences and would like to share their knowledge please feel free to post a comment or contact me directly.

Webcast DSLR Video for the Web Archive link

I would like to thank everyone that joined the live webcast on Wednesday January 27th – SLR Video for the Web: The End of Trial and Error. It seemed like most of the trial and error was from the webcasting technology side. There are always technical challenges in these types of presentations and I appreciate your patience if you were one of the people that had issues. There is a high quality archive of this event available for download at no cost. Click here to watch the event and to download an instructional PDF from Jeremy Thomas entitled “7D File Optimazation for the Web”.

There was some great discussion with my co-host Neil Smith, HDi RAWworks creative director Jeremy Thomas, filmmaker Liam Finn and Brian Valente from Redrock Micro. Thanks to everyone involved especially the sponsors – Zeiss, Redrock Micro and Litepanels.
