Jared Abrams over at Cinema5D put up a nice interview with Matthew Duclos from Duclos Lenses. Matthew and his dad Paul are really nice guys who know what they are doing. PCN has covered Duclos Lenses before and we have a surprise coming that’s shot for the PhotoCine Expo with their modified Tokina 11-16 lens. Btw, one thing I noticed while visiting their shop was that they had the Fotodiox lens adapters in stock. Nice to know if you’re in the LA area and don’t have time to order online.

Duclos Lenses

I came across Matthew Duclos’ Circle of Confusion blog and found some great articles about converting still lenses for DSLR video. The post that caught my eye was about the difference in Still vs Cine lenses:

One might assume that a lens is a lens and you can simply adapt any lens to suit ones needs. This is usually a matter of changing or adapting the mount just so the square peg fits in the square hole.
