Sachtler enters the HDSLR arena with their new Cine DSLR Fluid Head

With the Cine DSLR, Sachtler offers professional photographers and filmmakers alike an authentic, professional fluid head: The Cine DSLR has a payload range of 1 to 5 kg (2 to 11 lbs) and is thus ideal for state-of-the-art digital single-lens reflex cameras with HD video function. A counterbalance in ten steps as well as three vertical and horizontal grades of drag (+0) allow for professional operation.

Manfrotto 504HD – HDSLR Hybrid Fluid Tripod Head

I saw this tripod head at NAB and/or Cinegear and have been meaning to write and article or do a review. Manfrotto has designed this head as a bridge between heavy and expensive cinema fluid heads and compact HDSLR heads. If you are in Los Angeles on July 24th, you can see the 504HD and attend workshops from the Manfrotto Crossover Tour stopping at Birns and Sawyer Film Tools. Neither site seems to have much information other than that there is an event so I guess you will have to email or call them via their various contact pages.
